Demo Days
FREE 1 Day ITEM QRAS
Introduction
ITEM Software's
Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety and Risk seminars meet
the demands for information on prevailing trends and innovations in the
engineering community.
This one-day seminar
provides you with an overview of Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) concepts
and their application to help you meet your risk and safety initiatives.
A demonstration will
be conducted on the benefits and capabilities of ITEM Software's user-friendly
Quantitative Risk Assessment System software tool, iQRAS. It features
a fully integrated environment for constructing and analysing risk models,
enabling the user to construct and quantify risk scenario models, estimate
numerical risk levels, and identify major risk contributors.
Topics include:
Introduction
of risk terminology
Risk metrics
Risk perception
Risk management
Methods of solution (determining system vulnerabilities and specific
paths to risk)
Data development
Methods for
risk scenario identification (e.g., Event Sequence Diagrams, Event Trees
and Fault Trees)
Basic probabilistic models for calculating likelihood of risk scenarios
Model parameter estimation methods including use of expert judgment
and partial evidence
Risk ranking and importance measures
Assessment and propagation of uncertainties
The seminar will be
presented by members of ITEM Software staff, with special guest speaker
Dr. Ali Mosleh, Director, Reliability Engineering Program, Center
for Risk and Reliability, University of Maryland.

Demonstration Days (Germany)
We are holding a series of ITEM ToolKit demonstration days at our German
office throughout 2007. These demo days will give potential, and existing
customers, the opportunity to view and have hands on experience of all
the modules within the ITEM ToolKit suite of RAMS tools.
There will also be staff on hand to answer any questions you may have
about the software, or to discuss any other issues you may have.
No dates have so far been scheduled. Please contact us, or our local
office, to be kept informed of the latest details.
If you are interested in attending any of these demo days, please contact
